Home-school Communication

We always remind children to speak up and share any worries they have or to let staff know about anything that happens during the school day that has upset them.  We always address any issues promptly, that may have happened in school, but we can only do this if we have been informed by the child or children involved.

Occasionally children do not let a member of staff know if they have been upset by something and wait until they get home to mention it. If this occurs, it is important that parents speak to a member of staff so that they can deal with what has happened.  Social media is not the place to share concerns about things that have happened in school, as it can exacerbate the problem and cause misunderstandings.

Staff are always happy to communicate with parents about any concerns. The use of home-school link books, emails to school and agreed appointments are all ways of communication that we use and we would ask that our staff are treated with respect and courtesy. Year 6s Visiting The Corbet Open Day

If your child is visiting The Corbet School on Monday morning, please could you ring in to order their school lunch Monday morning or email admin@bicton.shropshire.sch.uk Thank you if you have already ordered their lunch.

Pantomime Tickets

Thank you for returning the permission slips and money for the visit to the pantomime.  If you still wish your child to take part in the visit, please can you let us know by Monday morning when we will be confirming the final numbers with Theatre Severn. Please can you remember to return the menu , if you would like the school kitchen to provide a packed lunch for your child.

Gardening Day

if you can spare an hour or two tomorrow, we’d love to see you at our gardening day. There are plenty of jobs that need doing in and around the garden. Thank you if you have already let us know that you are coming along.

Old £1 coins

Just to let you know that the school office and kitchen will not be able to accept the old style £1 coins after 9th October 2017.

Welcome Back Disco – No Clubs 29.09.17

We are really looking forward to next week’s disco and thank you to FOBs for arranging this fun event for all the children of the School and Nursery. There will be no cross country or Brill Club next Friday.

Children Absent From School

Please remember to phone the school office if your child will be in late or is off ill.  If the school office has not been informed by 9:30, they will contact you to ascertain why your child is not in school which is part of our safeguarding procedures.

Bicton Church Harvest Service

Our choir have been invited to sing a couple of songs at the Harvest Service at Bicton Church on Sunday 1st October at 6:30pm. We will not be sending out permission slips for this event but if you could let school know if your child will be able to take part we would be very grateful. Children will need to wear school uniform please. Thank you.
