Parents’ Evenings

Parents are invited to a range of Parents’ Evenings throughout the school year.
During the Autumn and Spring Terms, parents will be invited to a Parents’ Evening where they can look at their child’s work and discuss their child’s progress with the class teacher. Teachers will explain areas where the child is doing well and areas where the child may need some extra help and support. The child’s targets may also be discussed at that time with the parents.
During the Summer Term, parents will receive a written Annual Report detailing the child’s progress for that academic year. Additionally, we often arrange and Open Day where children can show their parents the work they have done throughout the year. This gives parents an opportunity to see and appreciate the range of work their child has undertaken during the year and the progress they have made. Parents who have particular concerns about their child’s progress may wish to make an appointment with the class teacher and discuss this during the evening. Alternatively, a teacher may request an appointment with a child’s parent to discuss a concern they may have.
