PE – Gymnastics
In PE, we have doing gymnastics. We have worked on jumping, travelling and rolls. This week we combined different skills to create our own sequences. We have also been focusing on body control and during our lessons, Mr Andrews has taught us how to safely use the larger equipment in the hall.
Flora and Fauna
In Birch class, we have been looking at Flora and Fauna. We had been carefully drawing from observations. Here is a sample of what we have created so far. 🐞
A geography lesson taught by year 5/6
On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 taught the children of Birch class all about the physical geography of Mexico. We looked at the Mexican jungles, rivers, volcanoes and deserts.
Designing and making pouches in DT
This half term, we have been designing and creating our own pouches.
So far we have had to choose our fabric, cut it to the correct size and shape and use a running stitch to attach them together.
