Gardening Day Sunday 17th March 2019

FOBS have organised another sociable day in the garden, 10am to 4pm. We would like to welcome families from the School and Nursery community to come along and help to make the Sensory Garden a success for its third year.

We will be adding compost / soil to the raised beds, planting new spreading / trailing plants, planting seeds in the veg plots, plus lots of general weeding, tidying and feeding of the fruit trees in the orchard. No specific experience required.

We provide tools and delicious refreshments during the day.  Please can you bring gardening gloves for yourself and your child / children if possible and wear suitable shoes.

Any donations of plants / seeds / children’s gloves gratefully received.

If you can come along for an hour or a few hours or even the day please leave your name at Reception.

Looking forward to see you.

Valentine’s Disco

FOBS will be very grateful for any cake donations for the Valentine’s Disco tomorrow. Donations can be left in Reception.

They are also hoping to do a Tombola, so any unwanted Christmas gifts would be gratefully received.

We look forward to seeing you all there and thank you again for your continued support.

FOBS Planet Superheroes competition – Winners and runners up

Well done to everyone who entered the FOBS Planet Superheroes writing competition and congratulations to all the winners and runners up. We are very grateful to Hayley from Shrewsbury Library who judged the entries and visited school to announce the winners and runners up. Thank you also to Karen and Barbie for putting together the competition and coming along to our special assembly to present the prizes.

Hayley has now created a wonderful display of all the entries in the junior section of Shrewsbury Library, which we hope you will pop along to have a look at.

What a wonderful evening!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the wine and cheese evening on Friday. I’m sure you will all agree it was the most wonderful evening! The transformation of the Hall was amazing and the photos really don’t do it justice.

I would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to Barbie and Karen for their tireless efforts to make it a night to remember – this will hopefully be the first of many! A massive thank you must also go to everyone who gave up their time during the week, Friday afternoon and especially on Friday evening – it would not have been so successful without your support.

Gardening Day 15.09.18

Can you spare a few hours on Saturday 15th September? If so, we would love you to join us at our first  gardening party of this school year.

We are planning on having a general tidy-up in the wildlife garden, flower beds and Early Years raised beds, as well as moving some of the less hardy plants into the polytunnel for the winter.  Weather-permitting, we are also hoping to finish a few painting jobs around school.

If you are able to spare a couple of hours from 10:00 onwards, please leave your name at the school office or speak to myself or Barbie Davies who has kindly offered to organise refreshments throughout the day.

Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing you.
