Special Lunch Menu’s during May and June

Dear Parents/Carers

We’re delighted to let you know about some special school lunch promotions taking place between May and June 2026, designed to make mealtimes fun and engaging for your children.

Highlights include:

  • National Smile Day – Friday 15th  May
  • Census Day – Thursday 21st May (Superhero theme) – a key date for schools, where choosing a school meal really helps support school funding
  • National Corn on the Cob Day – Thursday 11th June
  • World Cup Football Frenzy Pizza Party – Thursday 18th June

We’d love your support in encouraging your child to enjoy a school lunch on these special days, particularly on Census Day.

Shire Services is proud to deliver these initiatives, making lunchtimes healthy, enjoyable, and memorable for every pupil.

Choosing a school meal is more than just convenience – it helps children build healthy eating habits, stay energised and ready to learn, and strengthens our school community.

Family Grapevine

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Spring issue of the Shrewsbury & Telford Family Grapevine is out now!

It is full of useful information, with a guide to what’s on for families this Spring, and the directory full of fun activities from toddler groups to sports clubs, plus childcare, party entertainers, support and lots more.

For those who don’t receive a print copy directly from school or nursery, you can either pick up a free copy at family venues, leisure centres and libraries across the area, or you can access the full issue on our website:

Easter HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Programme

Children who are in receipt of free school meals can book free sessions onto this programme.  Your unique code to do this will be given to your child. As well as free places at clubs for HAF eligible children and young people, many of the HAF programmes also include paid places for children and young people who are not eligible for HAF. These are generally heavily subsidised and have been highlighted in the What’s On Guide. Please follow the link for more information:-
