Year 4 Residential!

We are very excited to be offering our Year 4 pupils a residential trip this year to the wonderful city of Liverpool.  This will be a joint residential trip with Bomere Heath Primary School and St John’s in Ruyton.

To find out some more information, please come along on Friday 18th October at 2.30pm where you will be given details of the trip.

European Languages Day

In Thursday’s Kidslingo French Club with Marie, the children this week were celebrating European Languages Day. The children had to complete activities to collect points and a certificate.  Well done Freda, Isaac, Liza, Ivy and Rosalie!

Head of School Message

It has been another jam-packed week with the Year 6s being out on different trips, our Worship Council leading their first Worship and Harvest Festival Rehearsals in full swing.  We also have our Gardening Day (12th October) and our Spooky Disco (18th October ) coming up.

Thank you to all the parents/carers who came along to show their interest in supporting our Friends of Bicton team.  There were lots of brilliant ideas on how to raise much-needed funds for our school.

We are looking forward to seeing lots of you at our Harvest Festival Service on Friday 11th October at 9.30am at Bicton Church.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Mavin

Head of School Message

We’ve had another busy week here in school and the children are very much into the swing of the new school year.  We have had a number of parents who are considering places for their children in September 2025 looking around our school and it has been wonderful to hear such positive comments about the nurturing environment we provide.

Our Worship Council held their first meeting next week which was a training session on how to run their own whole school worship.  They will be planning and delivering a worship every half term which is a nerve-wracking experience but a very important one for our oldest children as they prepare for life beyond Bicton.  We also welcomed Reverend Hannah for our first Open the Book worship of the new school year.

We are setting up a number of new pupil councils this year for pupils from Year 1 – Year 6.  There will be some ‘homework’ going home over the next week where children will be asked to submit applications for the councils they are interested in joining.
