Spellings and homework due-16.9.15

Please find attached the new spellings for this week.

Spelling Week 9.10.15

I have also attached the homework I have set today based on conjunctions. We have had a couple of lessons on conjunctions this week, the children have found this quite difficult so I’d like them to practise. Please encourage your children to complete this homework in pencil!

Please do not hesitate to come and see me if you have any questions or problems.

Have a nice weekend.

Class 4 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,
On Wednesday children took home French homework to be brought back to school by Wednesday 14th October.

We have covered most of the words in the activity but they are free to use the Internet or French dictionaries for words the don’t know or can’t remember.

If there are any queries please do not hesitate to speak to myself or Mrs Foster.

Thank you for your support,
Mrs ChadwicK

Cave paintings

Class 4 have been learning about cave paintings from the stone age this term.  On Friday they used their knowledge to produce some cave paintings outside, using coloured chalks.  They had lots of fun and produced some excellent drawings.

Fruit tasting

This week we are continuing with our unit about ourselves, concentrating on taste.

Each day a different group of children will be tasting a selection of fruit and thinking of ways to describe how it feels, looks and what it tastes like.

With the leftover fruit we will make a fruit salad on Friday to enjoy after our walk on Friday afternoon.

Well done to the Choir

Well done to all the choir children who performed at the Harvest Songs of Praise at Bicton Church on Sunday.  It was lovely to see so many families from Bicton School there and Mary-Lou has asked me to pass on her thanks to the children for their wonderful performance.

A special visitor

Today the MP Daniel Kawczynski visited our school to see the work of the Embrace PE service who do PE with Class 4 each Friday.  Today the children continued to develop their skills using frisbees and had lots of fun, this ended in a game involving the whole class.
