Head of School Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

It’s been a lovely, sunny week in school. As the weather warms up, please remember to send children in with a hat and sun cream on particularly bright days.

Today’s Crazy Hair Day for Comic Relief has brought plenty of smiles—do take a look at the photos. There’s also a post with details on how to donate if you’d like to.

Looking ahead:

  • Easter Service – Thursday, 9.15am
  • iRock Concert – Friday, 2.30pm (for iRock families)
  • Friday is also the last day of term

A reminder that Bicton Buddies Club bookings for after Easter is open from today for all children aged 3 and upwards.

We’d also appreciate your support in leaving the school site promptly at the end of the day. Children running around the car park can be unsafe, so thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.

Please also take a moment to read our post about the potential Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding available to the school—we’d be grateful for your help to help us improve our school site.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Schools’ Football Week

Schools’ Football Week (SFW) is back from 23rd – 29th March 2026 with the continued support from their partnership with Pokémon! Designed as an opportunity for schools from across the country to embrace football and the wellbeing benefits it provides to pupils and players. All children will be encouraged to take part in footballing activities throughout the week. Whether it’s taking part in Lunchtime competitions or using their creative side to design their very own footballing Pokémon, there will be something for everyone!

Dear parents/carers,

It has been a lovely week in school. The children were especially delighted to get back out on the field for the first time this year — it’s always wonderful to see them enjoying the space and the fresh air.  Let’s hope for lots more dry days in the coming weeks!

Thank you to everyone who attended our parent meetings. It was a pleasure to catch up and discuss how the children are getting on. If you were unable to make an appointment, please do get in touch and we will be very happy to arrange an alternative time.

A big thank you to FOBs for organising the Mothering Sunday sunflower sale — the children really enjoyed choosing their flowers, and we are grateful for the support and hard work that went into making it such a lovely event.

We are now looking forward to our Easter Service at Bicton Church on Thursday 26th at 9.15am. We hope many of you will be able to join us for this special occasion.

Wishing you all a calm and enjoyable weekend.

Loop Explorers

We are delighted that our midweek group for primary school-aged children is now well-established! Seven children, from three different schools, regularly come along. We’ve room for up to twelve children, so if your child would like to join, please do get in touch (revhannahlins@gmail.com). The group meets two Thursdays a month during term-time, 4.30pm-5.30pm at Bicton Church. It is particularly for children who would value time to explore their faith, make friends and learn more about the Bible. Each session, we’ll do practical and interactive activities that are linked to a theme, share news and have a short time of prayer and worship. We’ll spend some time in the church, and some outside- engaging with the natural world.
