A visit from Müller

This week, the children enjoyed having their very own yoghurt station at lunch time. They sampled a selection of yummy desserts from Müller’s new range with many various toppings available. These new products will help save on food packaging waste.

Head of School Message

Dear parents/carers,

It has been a lovely week in school, despite the very warm temperatures, and the children have enjoyed a quieter day today to avoid the heat as much as possible.

We are very much looking forward to our Sports Day next Thursday and thankfully the weather looks a bit cooler! Please feel free to bring a picnic and join us for lunch.  Children will be allowed to spend time with their parents/carers over the lunch hour as Claire is preparing a ‘picnic’ school dinner that can be taken outside.

We are also looking forward to the FOBs Summer Disco on Thursday 17th July. Please note that this is for children only (school staff and FOBs will be in attendance) and pick up time is 4.45pm.  Please pop into the office if you would like to buy a ticket for your child (£5).  Ticket sales will close on Friday 11th July.

Next week, our Year 6 pupils will be enjoying a Spirituality Day at Church led by Reverend Hannah.  This has been hugely successful in the past in preparing the children emotionally for the important next steps in their education.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Mavin

Head of School Message

Dear parents/carers,

School has been very calm and quiet this week as lots of the children have been completing statutory assessments.  Our Year 1 children have completed their Phonics Screening Check and our Year 4s have completed the Multiplication Tables Check.  The children worked exceptionally hard and I would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Gairy, Mrs Walker and Mrs Ryan, Miss Nagington and Miss Guy for all of their hard work and preparation for the children.

Some of our KS2 children also enjoyed a trip to the Corbet for a Mini Athletics tournament – photos below!

Our Year 4 children are getting very excited for their trip to Liverpool next Wednesday.  Parents/carers please note that children must be dropped of at St John the Baptist primary school in Ruyton XI Towns, SY4 1LA (7.30am on Wednesday 18th June).

We are looking forward to our upcoming Sports Day on Thursday 26th June.  A letter has been sent home with your child reminding them which house they are in but if you are unsure, please contact your child’s class teacher.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Mavin
