A typical meal if you worked in a Victorian Mill

Today Class 4 were finding out all about what life was like for poor children during Victorian times. As part of our learning we read about a little girl who worked in a mill and we found out about what the food was like there. Some children made one of the main meals which was oatcakes mixed with water and milk. We all had a taste of it and as I’m sure you can tell by the photos, we wouldn’t want to have to eat it twice a day, everyday!
