Weekly news 22.07.23

Hello everyone,

On behalf of all our staff and governors, thank you for all your support this year.

This time of year is always very sad when we say goodbye to children and staff moving on to new schools, but we feel honoured to have played a part in their school journey and hope that they will take fond memories of Bicton with them as they take their next step.

Thank you for your gifts, cards and kind messages and a big thank you to the Year 6 parents for the beautiful bench on our school field – this will be a lasting legacy to you and your children and will keep you in our hearts for years to come.

This is a bumper newsletter this week with bits of information that might come in useful over the summer.

I wish you all a lovely summer holiday – hopefully we will all see some sunshine! – and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 5th September.

Take care and much love,

Mrs Johnson x

Bicton’s Got Talent Leavers’ Assembly

Thank you to everyone who joined us at leavers’ assembly to say farewell to our Year 6s. It was a wonderful celebration filled with laughter, smiles, huge applause and, as always, tears! Thank you to Mrs Mavin and Mr Andrews for all their hard work and for giving us such a memorable morning.

The children amazed us with their many talents and it was only fair that the staff got to submit an entry for Bicton’s Got Talent – enjoy! (Make sure you scroll down after the staff video, to view more highlights from the morning.)

News from Nursery

I had the privilege of attending our nursery children’s ‘graduation’ and watching their performance of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. I’ll upload some more photos and a short video, once I’ve checked which children are allowed to appear on our website, so keep an eye out next week!
