If your child is interested in learning to play the Drums, Guitar or Keyboard next term please speak to the school office. Teachers from Shropshire Music Service come into school during the afternoons to give lessons to small groups. Invoices are issued half termly.

If your child already has lessons and no longer wishes to continue, please let the office know.

Parent/Guardian Surveys

Thank you if you have already returned your parent survey and for the positive comments and suggestions made. Your views are very important to us and help us to plan for the forthcoming year. Please could all surveys be returned by Friday 23rd June so that we can collate and publish the results the following week.

Sports Day

We are looking forward to Sports Day next week and warm weather is forecast so children will need to bring a hat and drink.  If you are having trouble finding the correct colour t-shirt for your child to wear, please speak to a member of staff and we will sort something out for them as we have done in previous years.  If you would like school to provide your child with sun cream, please return the permission slip if you have not already done so.

Football Club – Classes 1 and 2

From next Thursday 22nd June until the end of term, there will be football club for children in Class 1 and 2 from 3:15 to 4:30. This will not show on the clubs list until Monday. We are grateful to Alfie W’s dad for offering to run the club and a member of staff will also be present.

Matalan Vouchers

Just a reminder that next Wednesday is our Sports Day, providing it does not rain! Should the grass be too wet, we will make the decision to cancel as early as we can and send out a tweet/put a post on the website.  Fingers crossed we will still be able to go ahead so children will need to bring a drink and sunhat and remember to wear/bring to school their coloured t-shirt. Children will be told which team they are in and which coloured t-shirt they will need this week. Our reserve date is still Wednesday 5th July.

The kitchen will be serving a picnic-style lunch consisting of pizza (vegetarian option available), hot-dog, chips/pasta, a cookie/muffin and a bottle of water. You are more than welcome to bring your own packed lunch and join us. Please could we remind people to use the village hall car park and not block Bicton Lane.  Thank you.

School Photos

Tempest Photography are in school on Tuesday 13th June to take School and Pre-school photos. If you would like younger siblings, who are not in school or Pre-school, to have their photos taken with older siblings, these will be taken in the School Hall from 8:30 onwards.

Car Parking

Please can we remind adults that no parking is allowed in the bus lane at the front of the school.

Arthog Balance – Payment Due

The final payment for Arthog is due Friday 16th at the very latest.  Just a reminder that the full balance must be paid prior to the visit and children will not be able to take part in the visit if monies are still outstanding. Thank you.

Sun Cream Permission Letter

If you have not already done so, please can you return the permission if you would like your child to be provided with sun cream during school hours.

Gardening Day 

Just a reminder that we have a gardening day arranged for tomorrow, Saturday 10th June, if you are able to spare a couple of hours. FOBS have very kindly offered to provide refreshments and we are grateful to the Coop for donating the provisions again. Hope to see you there!
