Head of School Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Firstly, I would like to say a huge well done to all of our Year 6 pupils for completing their SATs this week. We are incredibly proud of them! They approached each test with determination, maturity, and resilience, and it has been wonderful to see how hard they have worked—not just this week, but throughout the whole year.

Next week is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one. We are delighted to be welcoming a coding club into school ‘Jam Coding’, who will be delivering an interactive assembly for the children. Following this, they will be starting an after-school club after half term for any children who are interested in developing their coding skills—more information will follow.

On Thursday, Year 6 will be visiting Adcote for a Bushcraft Day. This will be a fantastic experience and a great opportunity for the children to enjoy outdoor learning and teamwork.

A quick reminder that children should not be bringing toys or fidget items into school, as these can cause distractions, lead to disagreements, and result in lost learning time. The only exception is for pupils who have a fidget or similar resource written into their individual pupil learning plan. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a focused learning environment.

Finally, a reminder that we break up for half term next Friday.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Mrs Mavin

Vision in Action

A number of children from each class went out on a litter picking mission today, living life in all its fullness, showing Love and Joy for our wonderful village. Inspired by Sir David Attenborough who celebrated his 100th birthday this week the children wanted to do their part in protecting local habitats.

Head of School Message

Dear parents/carers,

Well despite this week being a short one, we have managed to pack a lot in! The Year 6s have been doing their final preparations for SATs next week and have demonstrated such fantastic work ethic.  Our advice for this weekend would be to get plenty of sleep, spend time enjoying the outdoors and focus on being rested and ready for next week! A reminder that they are welcome to join Breakfast Club Monday – Thursday next week free of charge.

We have enjoyed learning about David Attenborough in Worship this week and today some children took part in a litter pick around the village showing the love and care we have for our local community.

We are really looking forward to the FOB’s Football Tournament on Friday 19th June. No football experience is necessary.  Please see the poster below for more details.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Mavin
