Celebration Assembly

Well done to all the children for their fantastic performances this morning in our Easter celebration assembly and to the staff who have worked really hard over the past week preparing children for today. It was wonderful to see so many parents and relatives watching and thank you again for your continued support.
Although we did not video during the assembly, children performed again this afternoon so we are planning to upload the videos next week.
Many thanks.
Mrs Natalie Johnson

Hockey skills

Class One had lots of fun today learning some hockey skills.  They did brilliantly for their first session today.  They practised dribbling the ball, passing to a partner and aiming through markers.

Fancy Dress Day Next Monday

As you may already know, the teachers were the winning team in the recent Family Fortunes teachers vs parents evening and in recognition of this children are invited to come to school in fancy dress on Monday 7th April. There is no theme for the event and children (and staff!) may wear any costume of their choice.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher(s.)

Class 5 Celebration Assembly

For Celebration Assembly next Friday, please could children in Class 5 wear something colourful or something blue, green or yellow to represent the colours of the Brazilian flag. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me or send a message in with your child.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Mrs Natalie Johnson

Weekly News 28th March

Sports Relief

Thank you for children’s contributions for non-uniform day last Friday. We raised £92.40 for Sport Relief.

Celebration Assembly

Just a reminder that it is our Celebration Assembly next Friday 4th  April. Please could we ask adults not to park on the grass at school and not to block Bicton Lane but to use the village hall car park if needed. The Hall will be ‘open’ from 8:50 a.m.

Residential Trips

Please could all outstanding monies for the Stottesdon and Kingswood trips be in by Monday 31st March.

Travelling Books

Books will be on sale after school from Friday until next Thursday and each morning until next Friday.  School earn commission on sales to buy new books so your support would be greatly appreciated.

Calendar

Please  could we ask you to remember to check the calendar on the website for details on clubs; we are still being asked to phone parents because children think they are doing a club which is actually not running.

Swimming Letters

Please could any swimming letters for Year 3 and 4 children be returned as soon as possible.

All teachers are very grateful for your attendance at Parents Evening and for your continued support.

Many thanks.

Medal Winners Week Ending 21st March

Photoclub at the Church

We took advantage of the drier weather to go down to the Church last week.  It always provides lots of photo opportunities with interesting stonework, plants and details as well as scenic possibilities.  We all had fun and the kids took some super shots.

Congratulations to Ernie for winning our club medal for the second week in a row.  Ernie has good control of his camera and many of his ideas translate into excellent images.

I hope the sunshine continues!
