Monies in envelopes

Please could we remind you to send in any dinner, trip or swimming money in an envelope marked clearly with the child’s name and class. Dinner money can be paid by cheque made payable to Shrophire Council with the child’s name written on the reverse.

Picking up times

The Office is staffed until 4:30 p.m. but in the past couple of weeks some children have not been collected until almost 5:00 from clubs that finished at 4:30. Please could we ask that children are collected promptly, at the end of after-school clubs. If you are going to be late, please phone school to let staff know.

Medical Forms

We have now uploaded the medicine form to the website for you to download, print off and complete.  Please ensure that the form is signed before sending it in with your child and also that the dosage and length of time for which the medicine/prescription needs administering are made clear.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to speak to Mrs Neal or Mrs Jones at the Office.

Football Clubs

Football Club for Years 3-6 has now finished for the summer and will be replaced with rounders club which will start next Wednesday 21st May.

Football Club for Reception to Year 2 finishes on Tuesday 20th May and will restart in the autumn term.

Many thanks.

Water bottles

Just a reminder that children should have their own named water bottle in school please, particularly now that the weather is getting warmer.  Also, sun hats for playtimes from now on if possible please.

Many thanks,

Mrs Foster & Mrs Thomas

Strange goings on….

There have been some very strange goings on in our forest school area lately. Class 4 have been investigating what it is and found some very odd objects and what appeared to be some sort of slime! Feel free to ask someone in Class 4 what their theory is!

Class 5 SATs Party

As in previous years, I would like to do a party on Friday afternoon (in school time) to reward Year 6s for their hard work this week and also to say thank you to Year 5s for ‘coping’ with the changes to the timetable.  I would be really grateful if Class 5 children could bring in something to eat or drink e.g. cakes, biscuits, crisps (I know these don’t sound very healthy but it’s what the children deserve this week!)

They may also bring in casual clothes to change into for the afternoon, if they wish.

Thank you for your support this week and in the past few months in the build up to SATs.  It really has made a difference and I know your child/children have benefited from it.

Mrs Natalie Johnson

No Drama Club this Week

Just a reminder (the children were informed last week), there will be no drama club tomorrow.

Thank you.

Class One enjoying the outdoor area

Class One have been making good use of their outdoor area, which we have been working hard to develop.  We have got some nice new areas for them to explore outside, including a garden centre role play area and a rockery area where they can make pictures using coloured stones.

Cooking Club 12.5.14

Group 1 enjoyed making cup cakes today. We made lots of mess and had great fun! As a group we have decided what we would like to make next week, let’s hope it turns out just as tasty.

Outdoor Activities – Wellies and Waterproof Needed

Dear Parents,

Class 4 will be spending some time doing activities outside this week.  Given the weather forecast, it would therefore be very useful if your child could bring in wellies and a waterproof coat each day as we will adjust which times these activities take place according to the daily weather.

We will also be doing an outing to the woodland area outside school. Please let me know if you have any concerns about this.

Thank you for your continued support.
