Joseph Comments Book

Just a reminder that there is a book in reception for comments about our Joseph performance. We have loved reading the comments so far and welcome anyone who hasn’t left one yet to pop in at the end of the school day to do so.

Thank you for your support with helping to make Joseph happen and thank you for the lovely comments we have received so far. We are all so proud of the children for their hard work and fantastic singing. The children of Bicton are extremely talented and have been a joy to work with throughout this project. Well done to all!

Class 3 Homework

Dear Parents/Carers,

The children have been set a Christmas Holiday homework on purplemash. They have been asked to write a poem about winter or snow. We have been doing lots of work on poetry over the last few weeks and they are very good at writing poems.

There are prompts on the left hand side of the homework online but I have told the children to ignore these and just focus on:

-Descriptive language

– Repetition

– Structuring and organising their poem correctly

This homework is due in on Friday 6th January. I have provided paper copies for the children who said they needed them.

Also, I have reminded children that they are expected to be learning their times tables each week. It is really important they continue to learn them throughout the year as this will help them in many different areas of  maths. We will begin to do times tables tests next term.

Thank you for your continued support throughout this term, it is very much appreciated. I hope you have a very happy Christmas. See you in the new year!

Well Done!

Just a quick message to say well done to all of Class1 and 2 with both Nativity performances, you made us proud!

Class 2 have had a fun filled Christmas activity week and are looking forward to the break.

I have set the children homework to complete on Purple Mash – they are to create a winter scene and describe it. I would like this back by 6.1.17.

Thank you for all of the lovely cards and gifts 🙂

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Miss Edwards

Class 4 Christmas Party fun!

Class 1 party

Class 1 enjoyed playing lots of different party games this afternoon – pass the puppet, musical statues, show us your dance moves and sleeping reindeers.  They enjoyed a few party nibbles in between all the fun.

School Council News

Our School Council have had a busy few weeks and were invited to Bicton Church last week for their Christmas coffee morning. Whilst they were there, they were kept very busy decorating the tree and one of the church windows.

At the end of the week in Friday’s assembly, the School Council also drew some of the tickets in the FOBs Christmas raffle.
