Money

The children really enjoy using money for role play. Today they were busy busy pancakes for 1p and 2p.

We thought it would be nice if we can have some real coins for the children to use and would be very grateful if you could raid your pockets and purses and donate some 1p and 2 p coins.

thank you

Class 3 Homework

The children have been set some homework on purple mash to complete over half term. It is due in on Friday 3rd March.

I have handed out paper copies to the children who requested them.

Their task is to complete an information page/poster about everything they can remember about the Roman Army and Roman Soldiers. They can use key features they have learned in class such as headings, sub-headings, pictures and captions.

Class 3 Weekly Update

English: We have been creating our own information texts about the Romans this week. The children have been including key features such as headings, sub-headings and captions in their writing. They have also been focusing on using the third person and past tense.

Maths: We have been learning about Roman Numerals this week. We have learned how the Romans used simple addition and subtraction sums to create their numbers. We have also practised telling the time using a Roman Numeral clock.

History: Our History work has been linked to our English work. The children have researched about Roman Soldiers, particularly the uniform they wore as well as finding out other facts about the Roman army.

Computing: The children have been creating pictures on the laptops and have learned how to order their work using the ‘bring to front’, ‘send to back’ features.

PSHE: We have been learning how to manage our feelings, particularly thinking about what to do when we feel angry.

PE: The children have finished off their country dance work by learning a new dance including key techniques already taught.

Have a lovely half term everyone!
