Forest Church this Sunday

Dear Friends,

It’s Forest Church this coming Sunday- 3pm at Bicton School. If you are hoping to join us, below are the instructions about timings, what to bring and how to get there….
What to bring

Please bring your own picnic and drink. Do wrap up warm and bring a chair to sit on if you’d like to. It would also be a good idea to wear strong shoes- the ground is uneven and muddy in places. We’ll have a number of Advent -themed activities that you can get involved in. Because it is a school site, dogs are not permitted on this occasion.

 The Plan

We will be flexible and we also want to keep things fairly informal. Here is an outline of the afternoon:

3pm – Introduction from the Bicton children, welcome and an opening prayer

3.15-3.50pm – Activities and exploring the site – there’s a Forest School area, a sensory garden and plenty of playground equipment!

3.50pm – A brief worship service

4pm – Picnic Time

With love and blessings,

Hannah x

Forest Church at Bicton School

Dear Friends,

Forest Church – Sunday, 27th November, 3pm-4.30pm – Bicton School grounds
Forest Church happens every half term or so, and is held at various sites around our parishes. You are all warmly invited to our next one, which will be in the school grounds.
We meet at 3pm and have a short introduction, then we are free to spend time exploring – there will be some activities and crafts available. At 4pm we have a short service (this time it will be to mark the start of Advent), and then we eat our picnic together.
Wrap up warm, wear sturdy shoes and bring a picnic! There are plenty of low logs to sit on, but you might like to bring your own chair. We are hoping to persevere whatever the weather, but we do always have the contingency of church, should it really be beyond tolerable!
Please note that because it is school property, dogs are not allowed on this occasion.
We very much look forward to seeing you there…
With love and blessings,
Hannah x
