Head of School Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a really lovely week in school, with lots of smiles and great learning and playing taking place.
The children have also enjoyed celebrating England’s first win in the group stages, and there’s been plenty of excited football talk on the playground!
Despite the hot weather, the children have coped brilliantly. They’ve stayed focused, looked after one another, and made the most of their time both in class and outside on the field.
We’re really looking forward to Sports Day next Wednesday, and it’s set to be a sunny one! You’re very welcome to join us for a picnic on the field over lunchtime. If your child is having a school dinner, Claire will be serving hot dogs or pizza, and the children can bring their lunch out to enjoy with you. A reminder that the KS2 Sports Day will run from approximately 9.30 – 11.30am and EYFS/KS1 from 1.30 – 3.15pm. If anyone has a gazebo they could lend to school to give the children some shade during the day, please phone the school office.
With the warm weather continuing, please remember suncream, sun hats, and water bottles each day.

Parking
We are extremely lucky at Bicton to have such a large carpark for school pick ups and drop offs.
Please DO NOT park around the central island, in the bus bay or on Bicton Lane.
Willow Class Goes Wild for Wildflowers
Willow Class enjoyed a wonderful Forest School session exploring the church grounds in search of wildflowers. The children discovered a variety of native species, including forget-me-nots, oxeye daisies, dock, thistles and holly. They had great fun observing their surroundings and working together to label the different flowers that they found.
