Head of School Message
Dear parents/carers,
We have been busy in school this week gearing up for our Christmas activities starting next week. The classrooms are decorated, there are some naughty elves causing mischief, and the children are full of joy and excitement in the run up to this special time of year.
Here are the important dates for your diary for the next couple of weeks:
- Tuesday 9th December – Mrs Jones’ Christmas shop opens! Vouchers available via School Gateway app
- Wednesday 10th December 9.15am – KS1 Nativity at Bicton Church
- Wednesday 10th December – Whole school visit to Theatre Severn Pantomime
- Thursday 11th December – School Choir and Handbells Club visit The Coppice
- Friday 12th December – Father Christmas visit to school (payment via BACs or Paypal to FOBs) Details here
- Sunday 14th December 5pm – Bicton Church Carol Concert – all welcome
- Monday 15th/Tuesday 16th December 2pm – School Choir and Handbells Club visit Uplands Nursing Home and Isle Court Nursing Home
- Wednesday 17th December 6.30pm – KS2 Christmas Carol concert at Bicton Church
- Thursday 18th December – Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day! We also have the FOBs Christmas Party from 3.30pm – 4.45pm. Details here
- Friday 19th December – Last day of Autumn term

FOBs News!
Hello from FOBS,
We had a great time at the Christmas fayre in the village and raised £52.50p towards our goal. Thank you for all those who visited us and bought something and to the children for making us laugh with jokes!
We have our Christmas party on 18th December. Please note that there is ONE WEEK left to buy tickets (from school reception). We have to have this deadline to enable volunteers to prepare for the party and do all shopping so we need. Tickets will not be available after 12th December. Please see the poster for details.

Micro:bit buzzer games
Maple Class continued using their Micro:bits to create a prototype for their buzzer games. They created and tested their code using a range of inputs, outputs and variables. They will continue to create these games over the coming weeks to create their final product.
Karate Kings!
Well done to Joshua and Joel who both passed the next level of their Karate at the weekend, upgrading their belts. It’s Wonderful to see the boys living out our school vision and really living life to the full.
