FOBs News

Thanks to everyone who attended our AGM meeting this week. If you still want to be involved, we would happily welcome you to our group and add you to our WhatsApp community as well as future meetings. Remember, that we all bring something different to the table but any skills and abilities would be welcome in helping our fundraising efforts for the school and the children. We have all agreed that our main aim is for the children to have fun! If you want to join in, please let the admin staff know at school reception and they will be able to pass on your name and mobile number. We will then be in touch.
We have the Christmas Fayre at Bicton village hall on 29th November (see here ). We would like to run a game but need your help please? We know our children (and adults!) have a lovely sense of humour and we would like to run a joke machine. If you have any jokes that you would like to share, you can add them to our Facebook page or you can post them in our new letterbox which will be placed just inside school reception. All jokes must be suitable for all ages please.
We are also very excited that Father Christmas is going to visit us at Bicton School on 12th December in the morning (see here). All children will be welcome to visit him (if they want to), including nursery children who attend that day. Unfortunately, we need to ask for donations to run this event and this will ensure that we are able to continue to run it for future years also. Donations would be welcome via BACS or QR code. We will share the PayPal QR code separately on our Facebook page if you have difficulty scanning from the posters.
We are also hoping to run a Christmas party on 18th December so there is another date for your diaries! We will share more information about this soon.
Toilet rolls tubes are also still needed for crafts for our Christmas party so if you have any you can give to us, it would again be appreciated. Please drop them into reception if you are able to.

Thanks from all in FOBS.

Dodgeball success!

Well done to the Year 6 children who attended the dodgeball tournament this week! Truly showing our school vision and working together as team they managed to achieve an amazing first place despite such fierce competition from other schools.

Dear Friends,
It is Forest Church this coming Sunday! We will be doing some festive woodland crafts in the comfort of the Mission Church in Bomere Heath (the white building on Shrewsbury Road, just down from the Co-op). Come and join us at 3pm for some crafting, followed by a short service and cake! We look forward to seeing you there.
With blessings,
