A purpose-built school

We are lucky enough to have a beautiful modern purpose-built school building. We benefit from bright, spacious and airy classrooms all of which have floor to ceiling windows that can be opened out onto the playground to provide flexible learning situations.
The school has its own music room, library and community room. We have an excellent school hall which is fitted out with gym equipment. Our modern kitchens are quite impressive and provide fresh school meals on site each day.
The school has its own intranet and Wi-Fi network which serves the many laptops and iPads that are used on a daily basis by each class from reception up to Year 6. Teachers make effective use of digital technology to enhance lessons and learning.

Outside, our school occupies a rural situation surrounded by farmland and agriculture with beautiful views across the countryside and towards the local church. We have three playgrounds, including an Early Years playground with sheltered play areas, gardens and fitted playground equipment. Next to this we have a larger playground which is predominantly used by children in Key Stage One, with a wooden shelter where children can sit or play during rainy times. To the rear of the school is a further large playground area for the older children. This playground is marked out for games and also has a climbing wall and a large wooden shelter.

To one side of the junior playground is our beautiful wildlife garden, containing a dipping pond, several raised flower and vegetable beds, a polytunnel, an orchard and more play equipment.  At the centre of the garden is a large seating area, where children can sit and enjoy the wonder of their surroundings, and it is also used as a whole-class teaching space.  At the other side of the playground is our Forest School area which is enjoyed by children of all ages in our nursery and school.

We have a large school field for summer play times and sporting events. In addition to our exceptional building and grounds, our school is equipped with all the resources you would expect, ranging from scientific and mathematical apparatus to art, music and sporting equipment.

Visitors to the school will find a large circular driveway to the front which is flanked by many parking spaces. Our main office/reception is well staffed and ready to deal with all manner of enquiries and visits from the public.
