Head of School Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful week we have had in school! It has been lovely to see the weather steadily improving as the week has gone on, and the sunshine has certainly brought us a cheerful end to the week.

We were delighted to round off the week in such a special way, with Jake taking on the role of Headteacher. He did a fantastic job and thoroughly enjoyed the experience – we are very proud of him!

This week also included an exciting Jam Coding assembly, which the children really engaged with. Following on from this, Jam Coding will be running an after-school club on Tuesdays after half term. Further details are available here.

A quick reminder for families in Years 5 and 6: if you have not yet paid for swimming, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you to those who have already made their payment.

We would also like to take a moment to remind families about attendance. We are seeing an increasing number of families taking unauthorised holiday during term time. We kindly ask that these are communicated honestly, rather than being reported as illness. This helps us to maintain accurate records and ensures we can support all pupils effectively.

Finally, we wish you all a very happy half term. It looks like we are set for some lovely sunny weather, so we hope you are able to enjoy time together as a family.

It’s nearly time for…..(drumroll please!)

FOBS FAMILY FOOTBALL & BBQ

📅 *Friday 19^th June

Bring the whole family together for a fun-filled evening of football and BBQ!

✨ Enjoy:

• A special game of football with parents/carers and FC Nations (sponsored by Christian and Karolina, parents of Milan and Cassius)

• A friendly match between parents/carers and kids

• BBQ, Bar, Music, Ice lollies & tasty snacks🍿

🎟 Entry: £5 to play for parent/carer, £2 per adult spectator, children go FREE

💛 All proceeds go to help FOBS reach a fundraising target of £30,000 to improve the school play area for our children

Upcoming events:

Wednesday, 24 June – Sports Day – FOBS will be selling snacks and refreshments during the morning and afternoon sessions.

Groovy Sun Friday, 10 July – Summer Fete – We’re hoping to make this year’s summer fete bigger and better than ever! If you have an idea for a stall that you would like to run with proceeds to go to FOBS, please let us know! It could be a game, selling homemade goods, a craft project, etc!

Donations please:

We are running a bottle Tombola at the family football on 19 June and would be grateful for donations of any unopened bottle of anything (even washing up liquid!)
