Head of School Message
Dear parents/carers,
What a creative week we have had in school! We have had our very first ‘Arts Week’ where the children have been working in their house teams to create pieces of artwork. All will be revealed in next week’s newsletter…
We have also been delighted to welcome local artist Rory McCann to school where he has begun work on our values mural in the hall. It is looking incredible so far and the children are very excited to see the finished product.
We received our Year 6 SATs results this week and would like to take this opportunity to say how proud we are of this cohort. They absolutely worked their socks off in the run up to SATs and I hope parents and carers enjoy celebrating their achievements with them.
Next week:
- Monday 14th – Thursday 17th July – Emergency Childcare only until 4.30pm
- Thursday 17th July – Non-Uniform Day – Bring £1!
- Thursday 17th July – 3.30pm – 4.45pm – FOBs Summer Disco (tickets must be purchased at the School Office by the end of today)
- Friday 18th July – 10am – Y6 Leavers Assembly
- Friday 18th July – 3.15pm – Break up for the Summer Holidays (NO after school club on this day)
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Mavin
Forest Church
Dear Friends,
We are very much looking forward to our next Forest Church- 13th July, 3pm in Bicton churchyard. We are delighted that local expert Sue Dancey will be joining us to explore the wildlife, and we’ve also got some community herbs to plant and… a maypole! We may well try a dance or two.
Do feel warmly welcome to come along. Parking is either along the road, at Bicton Club or the school. We’ll meet at 3pm, and will have our closing service at about 4.15pm. There will be refreshments, and do bring along a packed tea if you would like to.
With blessings,
Hannah x
