The school runs a number of extended hour services in the form of various clubs. These before- and after- school clubs have proven very useful for parents who wish to drop off and collect children outside of the usual school hours.
Children who attend clubs often find it very rewarding and it can be a real boost for those who have a keen interest in a particular subject.
From 7:45 a.m. until 8:30 every morning we run a Breakfast Club where children meet and have breakfast together. This does not have to be booked in advance and can be paid for on a daily basis, if parents and guardians find that they need to make use of it at short notice. When Breakfast Club ends we run 8:30 Club until 8:45 after which time children enter their classrooms and are able to start early-morning activities until registration at 8:55 a.m.
After school we provide a number of different activities on each day of the week which the children can choose to attend directly after class ends at 3:15 p.m. Parents and guardians receive a regularly updated schedule of available clubs via the website and can then confirm in their child’s home-school link book which clubs their child/children will be attending. Available clubs vary throughout the year but may include all or some of the following each week: football, cross country, dance, craft, model making, games, art, cookery, sewing, drama, photography, R.E. and book club.
Clubs differ in length but usually run until 4:15/4:30 p.m. Most clubs are £1 per child per night apart from Film club on Tuesdays which runs until 5:30 p.m. for a cost of £2.50 per child.
